About the event

The South's Wildest History — Told as Stand-Up Comedy

Forget everything you remember about history class.

Hammered History is a live comedy show where the unbelievable true stories of Louisiana and the South become the setup—and the punchline.

Written and hosted by comedian and storyteller Ashleigh Voisin, each show digs into the wonderfully weird people, scandals, inventions, disasters, legends, bad decisions, and “there is NO WAY that actually happened” moments hiding in our history.

And this isn't a lecture with a few jokes thrown in. It's stand-up comedy, storytelling, crowd interaction, ridiculous visuals, and legitimately fascinating history all rolled into one very unpredictable show.

Best of all, every Hammered History show is different.

New stories. New characters. New rabbit holes. Same general conclusion: our ancestors were absolutely bananas.

Grab a drink, bring your smartest friend, and prepare to learn several things you will immediately annoy other people by repeating.

History class lied to you. The real stories are way better.
